REALAMERICA CHOSEN FOR 2017 MOVING FORWARD 2.0 PROGRAM
RealAmerica Chosen for 2017 Moving Forward 2.0 Program
On August 26th, 2016, IHCDA announced the two teams chosen for the 2017 Moving Forward 2.0 Program. RealAmerica was honored by being chosen along with the Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs to be a part of one of these teams.
The purpose of Moving Forward 2.0 is to invite Community Action Agencies to develop and implement long-term strategies to overcome poverty while creating housing that increases quality of life while decreasing the cost of living for low to moderate income individuals and families. Moving Forward 2.0 will be used to create innovative developments that combine affordable housing, transportation opportunities and energy efficient design while incorporating a solution based approach that will break the cycle of generational poverty.
RealAmerica is ecstatic to partner with Area IV and looks forward to developing a project with them in the Lafayette region of Indiana. Both groups have such a strong heart for everything this program stands for and will work diligently to serve its purpose. In addition, both RealAmerica and Area IV were honored at the Indiana Affordable Housing and Community Development Conference with Lt. Governor’s awards for projects they each developed over the past year. Together we are sure to make a strong team.
