RONDA SHREWSBURY WEYBRIGHT

President and Owner

Ronda has worked in the real estate industry since 1988 and founded RealAmerica in 1995.  She is a principal in all of the company-owned partnerships and oversees the senior management team and the strategic direction of each of the company’s divisions, including Development, Design, Construction, and Property Management.  She is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business with a BS in Finance/Real Estate and serves on the Boards of the Indiana Affordable Housing Council (IAHC), OneZone (formerly Fishers Chamber of Commerce), and Fairbanks Hospital. She is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO/WPO), holds an active Indiana Principal Brokers License and participates in numerous philanthropic activities in the community.

MELANIE
REUSZE

Chief Operating Officer

Melanie has worked in the real estate industry since 1995.  She is an Indiana licensed Real Estate Principal Broker and has worked in various positions within the real estate industry including positions at the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and Ice Miller, LLP before joining RealAmerica in 2013.  Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Public Finance and holds several certifications associated with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, housing development, and property management.  After successfully leading the Property Management Team at RealAmerica for 3 years she has taken on the responsibility of RealAmerica’s Chief Operating Officer.

JEFF
RYAN

Vice President of
Development

Jeff has worked in the real estate and economic development industry since 1999 and leads RealAmerica’s  development team with all facets of project development including: project feasibility, market research, site selection, land closings, tax credit package preparation, zoning and planning approvals, pro forma analysis, and equity and debt financing. He has successfully completed projects in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio including 9%, bond, and market rate apartments. He has financing experience with HOME Investment Partnerships Program, The Federal Home Loan Bank’s Affordable Housing Program, NSP-3, historic tax credits, and Industrial Recovery Tax Credits. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University and also studied Urban Development Planning.

CHAD
GARRETT

Vice President of
Construction

Chad is the Vice President of Construction and responsible for planning and implementing RealAmerica’s construction project delivery strategy. He has over 25 years of construction management and executive leadership experience. His background encompasses a broad spectrum of large scale projects on a national level governing team efforts in the planning and construction of dense urban high rises, parking structures, multi-use developments, office, retail, healthcare and government building projects. His leadership history, utilizing industry-recognized best practices in multiple development classifications, lends to the apprehension of the complex organizational needs required for successful developments. Chad attended Ball State University as an Entrepreneurial major.

KERRY
LA PREES

Director of
Design

Kerry is a Registered Architect & Interior Designer in the state of Indiana with over 13 years’ experience with diverse project types, including international projects. He has designed and managed over 60 projects, including LEED certified and historic preservation tax credit projects. Kerry received both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and a Global MBA from EDHEC in Nice, France. He currently assists the Development Department in the analysis of development opportunities, prepares construction documents and conducts construction administration duties for multi-family and commercial projects.

KARA
POLSTON

Director of
Accounting

Kara is a graduate of Ball State University with a Master’s Degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. She spent 5 years in public accounting with Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC in Carmel, Indiana. Her primary focus was partnership taxation, but additionally worked on cost certifications, not-for-profits and development related work. Kara is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is instrumental in leading the Accounting Department at RealAmerica.

TYLER
MCKEE

Director of
Property Management

Tyler has worked in the real estate industry since 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in Risk Management and Insurance, and Residential Property Management. Tyler also has certifications on both the management and maintenance sides of the Property Management business. He has been with RealAmerica Management since 2009. Since starting with RealAmerica, he has advanced from Property Manager to Regional Property Manager and into his current role of Director of Property Management.
