Gladstone Apartments

As Columbus, Indiana grew due to increasing manufacturing jobs and a strong employment rate, we saw a need for workforce housing so that families could live, learn, and play in the community where they work.Â
To fill this need, we built 60 apartments, all of which are priced below 60% area median income. Our market study, conducted pre-pandemic, projected a lease rate of 12 units a month, being fully leased in January of 2021. We worked hard to design and build apartments that would make residents proud and build the community — adding more design features, amenities, and services.
Gladstone opened on August 13, 2020 and saw a huge response, even during the pandemic! The property was completely leased up by October, averaging six units leased per week. Our experience proved that building affordable housing to a high standard more than pays for itself.
